E + R = Outcomes
(Event + Response= Outcomes)

He taught me that every outcome people experience in life (whether it is success or failure, wealth creation or scarcity and poverty, health or illness, intimacy or estrangement, joy or frustration) is a result of how we responded to an earlier event or events of life.

Here’s the Big Idea for You Right Now:
If you don’t like the outcomes you are currently getting, there are two basic choices you can make:

1. You can blame the Event (E) for the lack of Results (O)
• Blame COVID-19
• Blame unrest
• Blame the economy
• Blame the government
• Blame gender bias
• Blame your wife or husband
• Blame the lack of support
• Blame your team and employees

Oprah Winfrey would never have become a famous newscaster, talk show host, and multimillion entrepreneur if she would have blamed a (past) family member of her sexual and physical abuse. She chose to forgive, move on, and focus on her future of health and possibilities.
A lot of people stop themselves from achieving. Living in limiting thoughts of regret and unforgiveness. They self-punish and allow self-defeating behaviors.

2. You can instead change your Responses (R) to Events (E) the way things are– until you get the Outcomes (O) you want
People can change their thinking– change their communication, and change the pictures you hold in your mind.

To be happy, we have to regain control over our thoughts, images, dreams, and positive energy.
• Change negative thoughts to positive ones
• Change what you dream about
• Change a negative to a positive habit TODAY
• Change what you read and listen to
• Change some friends or associates
