How to Keep Your Vision Alive
- Increased uncertainty?
- Travel bans?
- Health threats?
- Business adjustments?
- Solidifying your purpose
- Optimal health practices
- More time focused on key priorities
- Being a success magnet
It might be down to a few embers; smoldering, barely warm. It might be time to fan the flame and refuel that vision.
Interesting fact: Most marathon runners quit in the 20th mile. Of course, that is when they’re physically and mentally drained. They have come so far but they still have a long way to go. The key is, we have to keep our vision alive. The stress hormone cortisol is kicking our butt causing us to get irritable, angry, worried, wanting to quit.
Keep Your Vision Alive with these easy but powerful steps:
1. Guard your inputs.
-Limit the news and worse case scenarios
-Listen to life-giving information. I call these the “fountain of success”.
2. Write out a one-page vision plan.
-What do I plan to accomplish?
-What type of leader will I be?
-What will inspire me this year?
3. Structure your day.
-Rather than a fight, flight, or freeze response, learn to plan your day.
-Get focused on what you want.
-Remember, structure gives us a sense of flow and empowerment.
4. Get physical.
-Vision grows as you get moving.
5. Connect with other vision-driven people.
-Disconnect with negative people.
-Connect with energetic individuals.
-Seek new people with a keen vision.
6. Read a book of a visionary.
-Great visionaries like Steve Jobs, Nelson Mandela, Mother Theresa.
-Fill your mind with “what’s possible”.
